Microsites

The six LocalGov Drupal-based websites forming the Accelerated Microsites project are now live to the public.

This launch is a key step in moving the LCC web estate to a modern, accessible, and cost-effective platform, and handing back content management to services.

Services now manage their Drupal website content, with staff receiving training on web content and accessibility standards.

A small team of designers and developers from LCC, Fujitsu, and UST collaborated with the six services to carry out user testing, engage in collaborative design sessions, and conduct thorough quality assurance testing.

Features of the new websites include:

• Easy-to-manage media libraries
• Searchable events databases
• News and blogs sections
